NEWS AND EVENTS AT THE BALLARD CAMPUS

Become a Member!

Mars Hill Church lives for Jesus as a city within the city—knowing culture, loving people, and seeing lives transformed to live for Jesus. That’s our mission. This spring, we’re calling people to join the mission, re-commit to the mission, or at least watch and learn what the mission truly means. You can check out the Call to Mission website page for many answers to the common questions about the mission of Mars Hill, what we believe, and how to join Mars Hill as a member on mission. Answer the Call To Mission.

THE CITY! It’s about COMMUNITY!

The City is a new way for Mars Hillers to network with each other in a way that reflects real life instead of replacing it like other social networking sites. New users must be invited by current users, so talk to your community group leaders or service leads to get plugged in…or check with the Info Desk in the Commons on Sunday. For more information about this built-totally-in-house-by-Mars-Hill-tech-guys-from-scratch project, stop by the info desk or check out the Codex blog from the IT ministry.

New Service Opportunity! Thirsty Thursdays!

The Thirsty Thursday’s ministry team supports the mission of Mars Hill Church by calling every member to abide in Christ through worship, community, and service, by preparing the facility God has blessed us to welcome strangers, make disciples of Christ, and develop mature leaders who bear fruit as they live for Jesus. Matthew 5:6 states “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” If you are someone who thirsts for Jesus come quench that thirst by giving your time and talents Thursday evenings to prepare the building for worship.

Every Thursday at the Ballard campus, 6:30pm – 9:00pm

Lyrical Theology Concert: June 24

Last year, we hosted the Crossmovement HIStory tour, an incredible group of musical artists known as lyrical theologists. They brought their unique and powerful contextualization of the Gospel to the Ballard campus and 1000 people dug it. This year, the Clique 116 Unashamed Tour brings us more of this awesome musical poetry and promises to rock the auditorium once again. Don’t miss it!

Worship in Weakness

Deacon Trisha Wilkerson

I despise weakness…
I get overwhelmed. Relational debt, housework debt and procrastinated project dread sneak up, drain the life out of me, and leave me feeling discouraged and flat out weak.  Those overwhelming moments reveal my true weakness. Yet too often, I deny it. Blind with ambition, I reach for my bootstraps, pull myself [...]
