This Thursday! Baptisms at the Beach!

Here is everything you need to know about this Thursdays Baptism and BBQ event. Read through thoroughly so you are in the know!

All those that attend the Ballard campus are invited to attend our annual beach baptism and BBQ!

This is the summer’s biggest event, a chance to gather as a campus for celebration and fellowship. This event is not to be missed under any circumstances!

BYO BBQ: 5:30pm

We’ll be lighting the grills at 5pm so they’ll be smokin’ hot by 5:30pm. We’ll provide condiments, paper products, and lemonade for everyone. You bring the rest, meat, buns, whatever! You could even organize with your groups on the City and potluck! Come early and get dibs on a picnic table. We’ll get the fire-pits going after the baptisms and baskets of smore fixins’ too! Bring beach chairs, blankets, frisbees, or other sporting equipment if you wish.

MESSAGE & NEW MEMBER PRAYER: 7:00pm

The actual program starts at 7pm with a message from Pastor Bubba and testimonies from some of those being baptized. The Doctrine series will be completed in late June and we’ll be welcoming hundreds of new members with prayer and thanksgiving!

BAPTISMS: 7:30pm

Baptism is the public declaration of your commitment to Christ and His transforming work in your life. All Christians are called to baptism and this evening at the beach will be an unforgettable experience. If you wish to be baptized, we ask you to complete this sign-up form. Upon completion, you’ll review an email with instructions for the night of. Email ballard@marshillchurch.org with any questions.

LOCATION & PARKING:

We have reserved the Golden Gardens Bathhouse and all of the picnic shelters to the South of it. The shelters are first come first served to Mars Hill members and attendees so get there early to get a great spot.

Golden Gardens Is located near the Loyal Heights neighborhood of Seattle. Access to the Park can be obtained by Seaview Ave only, as Storm damage closed Golden Gardens drive indefinitely. The Mars Hill Ballard Baptism will take place near the bathhouse, but parking can be obtained anywhere along Seaview Ave.

Directions to Golden Gardens

I-5 Northbound or Southbound:

1. Take exit to 85th St and head west.
2. Follow 85th West to 32nd Ave. NW
3. Take a left onto 32nd Ave. NW
4. Travel south until NW 54th St
5. Take a right onto NW 54th St
6. Follow NW 54th St which turns into Seaview Ave NW to the entrance of the park.
