Stuff the Bus
Stuff the Bus is a joint effort between Communities in Schools of Seattle (CISS) and local organizations, like Mars Hill Church, to provide children in need with the school supplies required to be successful in the upcoming school year. This Sunday will be the last opportunity to donate school supplies! Right now the Ballard Campus donation is fairly meager, so we’re counting on you all to rally and bring school supplies with you this Sunday.
Biblical Parenting Conference
Save-the-date for this powerful conference based on the best selling book Shepherding a Child’s Heart by Dr. Ted Tripp. It is a great privilege to be hosting this conference at the Ballard Campus on September 19-20, 2008. For more information or to register, visit www.theresurgence.com.
Gas Works Park BBQ’s
For six Tuesdays, July 22-August 26, at 7:00 pm, the community groups within the Fremont/Wallingford area will gather to host barbeque’s in Gas Works Park. We will eat, fellowship, and study through the great book of Ephesians, diving into a new chapter each week. Bring your own meat and buns, and the groups will provide everything else!
This is a great opportunity to meet some new friends, join a community group, and build connections within our neighborhood. Please feel free to bring friends, neighbors, and family! For more details, please contact Alison Martin on The City or call 206-446-2734.
Considering Marriage Seminar
The Bible speaks of marriage as a covenant, a model, a form of relational, romantic, and practical worship that models the exquisite romance between Christ and His church. This seminar serves as an informational overview of premarital study for couples. It is open to anyone in Mars Hill who plan to be married in the next 4-12 months and intend to enroll in the quarterly Preparing for Marriage class. Email erin@marshillchurch.org for more information. Click here to register. You do not need to be a member to register.
