The Mars Hill mission statement maintains that we are to “live for Jesus as a city within the city.” As Pastor Mark often reminds us, this doesn’t mean blindly indulging in every aspect of the city or conversely, isolating ourselves either; instead, it’s a call to “know culture and love people” in an attempt to reflect Jesus’ love for us.
