Thanksgiving Eve Service
Thanksgiving is traditionally a time for food, family, and giving thanks. On November 26th starting at 7:00pm, everyone at the Ballard Campus is invited to bring their friends and family to celebrate what we truly have to be thankful for–the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Following the service, join us for a pie social to mark the “Death to Life” CD release, which features Red Letter and Ex Nihilo from last year’s Good Friday and Easter services.
If you’re interested in bringing a pie, please email ashlea@marshillchurch.org for more information.
Making the Band
Making the Band is an open call for all musicians interested in being involved in the corporate worship ministry of Mars Hill Church at the various campuses. This event, held at the Ballard Campus, is NOT an audition but rather a large informational meeting on the purpose and commitment of a Mars Hill band as well as a place to hear the needs of each campus. You will learn about what worship is theologically, the purpose of a worship band, and the time and level of commitment it requires to serve in this way. You will also hear specific needs from each of our campus pastors and have a chance to connect with them and other leaders. If you’ve ever dreamed of jamming for the Lamb we strongly encourage you to come out, hear what it takes, and meet the leaders that can help you get involved.
If you have any additional questions, please email kaitlin@marshillchurch.org.
Demon Hunter Event
On Friday, November 21st, the Ballard Campus will be hosting the world premiere of “45 Days,” the new documentary film about the Christian heavy metal band Demon Hunter. The film will be followed by a short acoustic performance by the band and a Q&A session with the band and the film’s director. This is a free event for anyone interested in seeing how this band has used music and their influence to glorify God and point people to Jesus.
A Day with Dr. Don
On Saturday, December 6th, Dr. Carson, a world renowned author and theologian, is teaching at the Ballard Campus. This is a rare chance to get a full day of teaching from a brilliant man of God who has written dozens of books, and has a heart to teach people the Bible. Bring your friends and community group.
