Thanksgiving Eve Service

Thanksgiving is traditionally a time for food, family, and giving thanks. On November 26th starting at 7:00pm, everyone at the Ballard Campus is invited to bring their friends and family to celebrate what we truly have to be thankful for–the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We also want to take this opportunity to dedicate all the new babies at the Ballard Campus. Our hope is to pack the stage with babies and their proud parents. If you’re interested in dedicating your baby, you can email ballardbabies@marshillchurch.org for more information. Following the service, join us for a pie social to mark the “Death to Life” CD release, which features Red Letter and Ex Nihilo from last year’s Good Friday and Easter services. If you’re interested in bringing a pie, please email ashlea@marshillchurch.org for more information.

Toy Drive

For families and individuals who are struggling financially, the holidays can be a very difficult time. To help these families and individuals in need, the Ballard Campus is holding a toy drive to support the Salvation Army’s Toy ‘n’ Joy program. Starting November 26th at the Thanksgiving Eve Service and continuing through December 14th, bins will be available in the foyers for you to donate unwrapped toys for children of all ages. Salvation Army volunteers will then collect these donations and place them in the Toy ‘n’ Joy shop where parents can select gifts for their children. During these tough economic times, this is a great way to ensure that as many children as possible can have a memorable and enjoyable Christmas.

Demon Hunter Event

This Friday, the Ballard Campus is hosting the world premiere of “45 Days,” the new documentary film about the Christian heavy metal band Demon Hunter. The film will be followed by a short acoustic performance by the band and a Q&A session with the band and the film’s director. This is a free event for anyone interested in seeing how this band has used music and their influence to glorify God and point people to Jesus.

A Day with Dr. Don

On Saturday, December 6th, Dr. Carson, a world renowned author and theologian, is teaching at the Ballard Campus. This is a rare chance to get a full day of teaching from a brilliant man of God who has written dozens of books, and has a heart to teach people the Bible. Bring your friends and community group.

Worship in Weakness

Deacon Trisha Wilkerson

I despise weakness…
I get overwhelmed. Relational debt, housework debt and procrastinated project dread sneak up, drain the life out of me, and leave me feeling discouraged and flat out weak.  Those overwhelming moments reveal my true weakness. Yet too often, I deny it. Blind with ambition, I reach for my bootstraps, pull myself [...]
