All those that attend the Ballard campus are invited to attend our annual beach baptism and BBQ!

This is the summer’s biggest event, a chance to gather as a campus for celebration and fellowship. This event is not to be missed under any circumstances!

BYO BBQ: 5:30pm

We’ll be lighting the grills at 5pm so they’ll be smokin’ hot by 5:30pm. We’ll provide condiments, paper products, and lemonade for everyone. You bring the rest, meat, buns, whatever! You could even organize with your groups on the City and potluck! Come early and get dibs on a picnic table. We’ll get the fire-pits going after the baptisms and baskets of smore fixins’ too! Bring beach chairs, blankets, frisbees, or other sporting equipment if you wish.

MESSAGE & NEW MEMBER PRAYER: 7:00pm

The actual program starts at 7pm with a message from Pastor Bubba and testimonies from some of those being baptized. The Doctrine series will be completed in late June and we’ll be welcoming hundreds of new members with prayer and thanksgiving!

BAPTISMS: 7:30pm

Baptism is the public declaration of your commitment to Christ and His transforming work in your life. All Christians are called to baptism and this evening at the beach will be an unforgettable experience. If you wish to be baptized, we ask you to complete this sign-up form. Upon completion, you’ll review an email with instructions for the night of. Email ballard@marshillchurch.org with any questions.

LOCATION & PARKING:

We have reserved the Golden Gardens Bathhouse and all of the picnic shelters to the South of it. The shelters are first come first served to Mars Hill members and attendees so get there early to get a great spot.

Golden Gardens Is located near the Loyal Heights neighborhood of Seattle. Access to the Park can be obtained by Seaview Ave only, as Storm damage closed Golden Gardens drive indefinitely. The Mars Hill Ballard Baptism will take place near the bathhouse, but parking can be obtained anywhere along Seaview Ave.

1. Take exit to 85th St and head west.
2. Follow 85th West to 32nd Ave. NW
3. Take a left onto 32nd Ave. NW
4. Travel south until NW 54th St
5. Take a right onto NW 54th St
6. Follow NW 54th St which turns into Seaview Ave NW to the entrance of the park.

The City is a new way for Mars Hillers to network with each other in a way that reflects real life instead of replacing it like other social networking sites. New users must be invited by current users, so talk to your community group leaders or service leads to get plugged in…or check with the Info Desk in the Commons on Sunday. New Service Opportunity! Thirsty Thursdays!

The Thirsty Thursday’s ministry team supports the mission of Mars Hill Church by calling every member to abide in Christ through worship, community, and service, by preparing the facility God has blessed us to welcome strangers, make disciples of Christ, and develop mature leaders who bear fruit as they live for Jesus. Matthew 5:6 states “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” If you are someone who thirsts for Jesus come quench that thirst by giving your time and talents Thursday evenings to prepare the building for worship.

Every Thursday at the Ballard campus, 6:30pm – 9:00pm

• On April 21st, an email was sent to all members asking them to prayerfully consider their membership and renew on our community network – the City. If you are a previous member who desires to partner with Mars Hill’s mission and have not yet renewed, we encouraged you to begin your renewal process soon. If you do not wish to renew, please email ballard@marshillchurch.org to let us know.
• For those of you are are new to membership, make sure you are on the City and in the next couple of weeks, you may begin your membership process – it will be available on the City!

2008 Men’s Advance: Jesus | Author and Perfector

Men of Mars Hill, you have one opportunity a year to advance with your brothers in Christ at an intensive weekend of training and growth. These weekends have produced incredible fruit in the past. Men, DO NOT MISS THIS!

The advance will occur at Warm Beach Camp on May 16th – 18th. Pastors Mark Driscoll, Bill Clem, Tim Smith and Scott Thomas will be throwing down, as well as your campus pastors. Check out this link for full information and registration.
