The Ballard Campus welcomes thousands of people each Sunday, and the need for more volunteers is always great. But more than anything, blessing our guests and the church family through simple acts of self-sacrificial service is an amazing opportunity–an opportunity to grow in relationship to each other and to grow in relationship to Jesus!

The following service teams provide the opportunity to grow in relationship with your church family while serving Jesus, the church, and our guests:

Greeters

You’ve probably noticed that there are a lot of people at the Ballard Campus on Sundays. The mission of our Greeter Team is to help everyone who comes though our doors to feel welcome at Mars Hill.

Hospitality

Our Hospitality Team works hard behind the scenes to make sure there’s a hot cup of coffee or tea, or a cold cup of water for anyone who wants one. They also prepare the bread and wine for the ministry of communion.

Ushers

It’s not always easy to find a place to sit in the auditorium, but our Usher Team is here to help people find a seat and make themselves comfortable in our “living room.”

Connect Desk

There’s a lot going on around Mars Hill, and our Connect Desk Team helps guests and members by providing timely information and answers to common questions.

Bookstore

Our Bookstore Team provides members and guests with resources to help them deepen their understanding of and faith in Jesus.

Children’s Ministry

Jesus loves kids—and so does Mars Hill. Help lead and shepherd kids in teaching, fellowship and worship.

Security

Our Security Team works to provide a distraction-free worship service and to maintain safety in and around the church.

Communion

Communion is an active and vital part of worship at every Sunday service. The Communion Team’s goal is to serve communion as seamlessly as possible so that people can focus on worshiping our Lord and growing in faith. You must be a member to serve in this area.

Financial Stewards

Our Financial Stewards Team oversees the collection of tithes and offerings given during Sunday services. You must be a member to serve in this area.

Facilities

Facilities does tasks during Sunday services and all through the week, ranging from straightening chairs to cleaning bathrooms to electrical work. If you have a skill or a desire to help keep the the Ballard facilities in excellent shape, come worship with us as we serve Jesus through these tasks.

Campus Cleanup

Every Thursday at 6:30pm the Campus Cleanup Team meets at the Ballard Campus for a time of scripture and prayer, followed by cleaning and preparation of the building for Sunday services. They do tasks such as cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, painting, and all the way up to projects that require trade skills.
